I was at Dave and Buster's Saturday nite, just hanging out with friends. When I came outside, the valet had pulled someone's silver Civic up to the front.
A quick glance. . .
Besides the ricey stickers and flames on the car, what caught my eye was the giant intercooler sitting up front (and the NOS and VTEC Turbo stickers). Plus, you could hear the big cams.
So my friend and I approach him, and he was nice enough to pop his hood. He says its a LS/Vtec hybrid. Built LS bottom end, Type R head, custom Turbo (3" exhaust all the way through), and 120 shot NOS!!!
He runs 10 psi on the streets and 18 at the track. Now, already I'm impressed. . .but 10.5 seconds?? I've NEVER seen a 10 second Honda on the streets. . . does this sound like a 10 second Honda setup??

Would you let a valet person drive your 10sec Honda Civic??
...well I guess its possible with the right setup...LS/VTEC's are very fast even without the turbo...there is a guy on the Hybrid Board that's running 12.02@112 NA with one(street Legal)...what year civic was it??..and was it full interior or gutted?
Here is the link to the 12.02 LS/VTEC Civic http://www.hybridforum.com/showthrea...sb=5&o=2&part=

It was approximately the 1996 body style (ex model). I didn't notice if it was gutted, but it did have 2 Tenzo R racing seats in it.

This was a coupe car ??? And it had a pair of front seats ??? How about a stereo ??? Did you notice a roll cage ???
Based on what you have stated above... I would not say it is impossible, however, it would be HIGHLY unlikely that this car is actually that fast.

Yeah good point Jim I forgot all about the roll cage...if it was a 10 second car then it would have to have a full cage inside to be legal at the track

You know. . . I feel almost stupid to not notice that it DID NOT have a roll-cage.
And the truth shall set you free. . .
